    Vendor FAQ

Everything you need to know about applying for and participating in our markets.

Who can apply to be a vendor?

We welcome applications from artisans, makers, designers, food producers, and small independent businesses offering high-quality handmade, artisan, or locally produced products. All applications are reviewed to ensure a balanced selection of vendors at each market.

How do I apply for a stall?

To apply, simply complete the Application Form on our website. Please include details about your products along with photos where possible. Once submitted, our team will review your application and contact you if your application is successful.

Is my place guaranteed once I apply?

No. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. We carefully curate each market to ensure a diverse mix of products and vendors.

How much does a stall cost?

Stall fees vary depending on the event location, size of stall space, and event duration. Full details of stall fees will be shown on the application form.

What does the stall fee include?

    Typically, the stall fee includes:

    • Your allocated vendor space
    • Promotion of the event through our marketing channels
    • Event organization and management

Some events may also include additional features such as entertainment or promotional campaigns to attract visitors.

Do you provide tables or gazebos?

Every artisan can opt to bring their own tables, chair or gazebo. We do provide tables and chairs against a payment that is stated on the application form.

What time do vendors need to arrive?

Vendors are usually required to arrive 2 hours before the market opens to allow enough time for setup. Exact setup times will be communicated prior to each event.

    What products can I sell?

    Products should be:

    • Handmade or artisan
    • Locally produced or independently designed
    • High quality and suitable for a curated artisan market

Mass-produced items or resold products will not be accepted.

Can I sell food or drinks?

This depends on the venue. Depending on the venue, food vendors are welcome to apply — this could be for open food or closed food. Food vendors must comply with Maltese food safety regulations and may need appropriate permits or licenses.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

In rare cases, events may be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances such as extreme weather or safety concerns. If this happens, vendors will be notified as soon as possible and alternative arrangements may be offered.

    Do I need insurance?

Vendors are responsible for their own products, equipment, and sales. Public liability insurance is recommended.

Can I share a stall with another vendor?

No, stalls are for single stallholders only.

How will the market be promoted?

Events organized by Malta Artisan Markets are promoted through:

    • Social media
    • Local marketing channels
    • Event listings
    • Partnerships and collaborations

Our goal is to attract a wide audience and support vendors in reaching new customers.
